Ardfern enjoys a thriving pub/hotel/restaurant in the heart of the village, in the Galley of Lorne which dates from the 17th century. A short distance away on the other side of the Ardfern peninsula at Craobh Haven is the Lord of the Isles pub and restaurant. Enjoying a drink on the terrace watching the sun set over the harbour and Mull beyond is an unparalleled experience. Throughout the year the Lord of the Isles provides all types of entertainment ranging from live bands, bingo nights, charity fundraisers and pub quizzes, not to mention toe famous West Highland Yachting Week. Craobh Haven additionally boasts the excellent Craobh Watersports Cafe, situated on a sheltered island accessed via a causeway with a vista of the sea. The cafe has plenty of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy food and drink, with menus based on homecooked food with nourishing soups, local produce and delicious baking. Open Mon - Fri 10am - 3.30pm.
A short 10 minute drive away is the Loch Melfort Hotel and Bistro. Both the formal dining room and and the bistro have truly stunning views out to Loch Melfort and the sound of Jura. There are plenty of options, from fine dining to bistro classics with an emphasis on fresh local produce, and evening cocktails on the deck overlooking the water are a must.
